The decision by the Bridge Meadow establishment to pack the 2016/17 bluebirds side with local talent is looking to be a sound one.
This was never more apparent than in the game against Monmouth yesterday.
First up was keeper James Gwilt...last year winning trophies with Goodwick United in the Pembrokeshire League. In the first half against Monmouth he made an amazing block at point blank range to deny the away side a goal.
Then just as it looked as if the game was drifting to a 0-0 conclusion, Lee Hudgell (last year of Merlins Bridge) put through Ashley Bevan (last year of Hakin Utd) who pulled it back for Rhys Dalling ( last year of Goodwick Utd) to score.
Apart from those specifically mentioned, all of the local lads in the side are doing really well and gracing the Welsh League with some style. Credit to Sully and Cress for getting them to a level of fitness which allows them to express themselves.
