The Gaffer's Page

Sorry, but I have been busy these last few weeks, and I have been storing up a range of emotions, both good and bad, regarding our recent performances.
As I said in my last page I was annoyed with the Caernarfon match, but was delighted with the character that we showed to come back from a goal down and rescue a point.
I asked the players to show a better performance against Llanelli, and they did. I was pleased with our overall performance at Stebbonheath, but that plaeasure was tinged with disappointment with our inability to create more chances against ten men.
Against Porthmadog we put on a much better performance, we created chances and were a lot more clinical in our finishing. Porthmadog may not be in the top half of the table, but they are a strong side, and the result showed just how well we played.
Last week we went away to Port Talbot, whose league position also belies their strength and capabilities Port Talbot dominated the first half, and I was delighted with the way the boys adapted to the changes we made at the half, and the spirit and determination they showed. We bounced back from an early second half goal, controlled the second half and came away with three points. Both myself and Evo are not happy with the way we seem to give our opponents a one goal start, even though we have managed to get six points from our last two games. That is something that we will work on.
The high points of the last few weeks, have been the performances of Mike Hartley, and Dylan Blain. Their performances have aslo been recognised by you, the fans, as they have won the last two Man of the Match awards presented at home games. Tommo's return came at an opportune moment, given the injury to Tom Ramasut, and his performances have earned him the Welsh Premier League Player of the Month award for November.
We travel to Neath on Friday, and I look forward to seeing you there.
By the way I'll be 40 on Saturday, so be nice to me, and don't go on about the corners.
