Legends Honoured at Caernarfon Game

At the home game against Caernarfon, the Club continued its programme of honouring ex-players at half time. The crowd were given a bonus as five. legendary Bluebirds were introduced to the crowd, as opposed to the usual two
Four decades were represented by the players. Dai Landry was a member of the 1961 Welsh League Cup winning side and played at the Bridge Meadow for many seasons; Paul Phillips was a stalwart defender from the 70's and Huw Knight, Mickey George and Nigel 'Speedy' Stevenson represented the club through the 80's and 90's, with Speedy playing his last game for the club in the 1999-2000 season.

Having been given a warm reception by the crowd, the legends could not resist the temptation to show the fans that they still had what it takes and proceded to have a kickabout in the centre circle.
Also in attendance at the game were George Brain, and Cliff Pawlett, who have previously been introduced to the crowd.

New Committee Member Appointed

Popular local taxi driver Kevin Haldane was co-opted on to the Committee of the Supporter's Association at the last meeting. The Committee has been a body short, since Dominic Lewis went off to Aberystwyth University, and Kevin was asked to step in to the breach. Dominic is still a member of the Committee, but due to being away is unable to play an active local part in Y Galon.
For those of you who don't know him, Kevin also works behind the bar, marks the pitch and drives the bus to away games. In his spare time he drives a taxi.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Supporter's Association will be held on the 9th of January in the Legend's Bar at 7:30. Why not come down and see what all the fuss is about. All members and anyone interested in joining are encouraged to attend.
